A private league is a real league that only its invited members (and club organisers) can see. It never appears in the club's public league list, and its standings, results and live scoreboards are invite-only too.
Setting one up (organisers). Open Organiser → Competitions → Create, pick ladder or box league, and set Who can find it to Private — invite link only. Everything else works like any other league. Brand-new clubs with no leagues yet also see a start the first league card on Comps.
Inviting people. The moment the league is created you get an invite link. Tap Share invite link and send it anywhere — WhatsApp works brilliantly. Anyone who opens the link joins with a single tap: no approval queue, the link is the invite.
Getting the link back later. Open the league's ⋯ quick actions → Invite a player, or League settings → Invite link, where you can Share, Copy, or generate a New link. Generating a new link kills the old one immediately — handy if it escaped into the wrong group chat.
A few guardrails.
- Private leagues are adults-only (junior leagues are set up by club organisers, with the usual safeguarding).
- Only club owners/admins can make a private league public.
Playing works exactly the same. Challenges, results, ratings, badges and points all work like any other league.
